My ideal Valentine’s Day date would start with going out to the aquarium and insectarium with my boyfriend and looking at all the animals and reading plaques to learn about them.
We could also go to the mall or a place with lots of stores to window shop. We don’t have to buy anything, but it’s fun to look around. Once we are finished, I’d like to stop to get a treat. Ideally, something like ice cream. We’d both get different flavors and toppings so we could steal bites from each other.
After that, we would go back to one of our rooms to watch a show or movie. Either something one of us has seen before or something new to both of us. While watching, we’ll both have sketchbooks out, doodling and drawing pictures. The day will end sweetly as we talk and laugh and sit close to each other.

My ideal Valentine’s Day date is one that I don’t think many people would want to go on, in my honest opinion. I would like to go to a library. My date and I would each pick out a book to read, sit at an open table and read. I’m sure other people would find that to be boring, but to me, it would show me that my partner cares about what I enjoy doing and what would make me happy.
I’ve never really been the kind of girl that cared about dates. Any sort of quality time that I get to spend with my partner is enough for me.
One additional thing I’d like on the date is flowers because I love them so much!

Ambiance, food and the love of my life are the trifecta of the best Valentine’s Day date for me.
I always relish soaking up as much time with him as possible, especially on Valentine’s Day. I would want the day to start early in the morning with breakfast. By lunch, we’d go on a picnic or to one of our favorite restaurants and walk around a bookstore.
Dinner is my favorite part of any date, though. I would want to have it somewhere nice and dark, where we would both dress nicely and eat well. We could open thoughtful gifts and laugh together while truly being present in the time we have together.
Valentine’s Day can be a source of stress for any busy couple, but this type of date night allows me to take a step back and remember to appreciate being with the person I love.

As someone who’s a sucker for romance, my ideal Valentine’s Day date has played out in my head multiple times. It may sound pretty cliché, but for someone my age, I consider a good movie and dinner to be ideal. Contrary to the usual horror movies shown on Valentine’s Day dates, I’d prefer an action movie instead, so we’d have a good time rather than being scared the entire time.
Lastly, we’d go out to dinner, which is nothing too fancy or expensive. We’d talk and laugh, conversing over food and dessert. Once everything is all said and done, my date and I would drive back to our college, and he’d walk me back to my dorm. We would spend that walk talking about how great our date was. And that’s my ideal Valentine’s Day date.
