I don’t have a lot of concrete plans for the end of the semester, but I have a bunch of ideas for how to spend my break. I want to clean my room at home the second break starts because a big change in routine and a dirty room are a bad combination for my mental health.
It has been a while since I’ve done much baking. I would really like to try and bake a bunch of stuff. My favorite thing to make is berry pies, but maybe I’ll try out making new things as well.
I’d also like to spend a lot of time with my family over the holidays. I haven’t seen a lot of my baby cousins because school is two hours away from home for me, so it’ll be really nice to hang out with them, my older cousins and my other family members.

I don’t have many plans for what I’ll be doing after the semester ends, but I know for sure that I’ll be spending a lot of time relaxing, playing video games and spending time with my friends and family back home.
Otherwise, any of the real, set-in-stone plans I actually have are the things I do every winter.
One of the first things I’ll do when I get home is celebrate a friend’s birthday with them, which should be a lot of fun since we don’t get to hang out often, but when we do it’s always fun. We’ll most likely go shopping through my town’s “Antique Alley” or have a bonfire.
Otherwise, I’ll work for my mom’s farm a bit by selling things for her at various vendor-based events. Usually, it’s just pottery and honey in the winter, but the events are always fun to go to regardless.

Once the semester ends, I plan on spending most of my break preparing for my big winter convention- Fan Expo New Orleans. I cosplay in my free time, so I’ll be crafting accessories or making props for my costumes. On top of that, I help my mom with her online business, so I’ll be working with her for most of my break for some extra cash for the convention.
I don’t really do much outside of that. I hope to see some of my friends over break and have a chance to relax somewhere that’s not my dorm. I plan on spending most of my free time drawing or hanging out with my pals. It’s simple, but it’s a nice plan that I’ve made for myself.

Once the fall semester ends, I will be going home to be with my family and friends.
I’m originally from Shreveport and I’m not the biggest fan of the city, but I take any and every chance I get to see my loved ones back home.
Since I won’t have to worry about school for a few weeks, I will get to focus on Christmas and try to save up money to buy presents for everyone. It will be nice to just have fun for a little while.
My mom and I will be going to Washington, D.C. for Washington Mardi Gras, but that won’t be until January.
I know I speak for a lot of students when I say that I am beyond ready for this semester to be over. That way, I can focus my energy on something that does not stress me out or make me want to cry 24/7.
