My first football game since being a student at the university was nothing short of an amazing time! I hadn’t been to a game in the last two years and I’m glad I decided to change that and go to this one. Despite the intense heat, which caused us to leave early, I had a really pleasant experience.

I, admittedly, am not the biggest football fan but I know enough to follow along the game decently well so I was able to stay engaged with the game going on while also spending time with friends. The energy was really high in the stadium as this game was highly anticipated and it made it all that much more fun, even if the Cajuns didn’t win this time.

We got drinks and free breakfast sandwiches as we got into the stadium which was nice and danced along with many of the stand tunes the band, the Pride of Acadiana, played; my personal favorite song performed was “HOT TO GO!” by Chappell Roan.

I definitely plan on going to more games in the future, especially since this is my last semester before I graduate, hopefully when it’s not as hot outside.

As someone who doesn’t know a ton about football I thoroughly enjoyed myself at the game. Although the hot weather was a challenge, the music and enthusiasm from the stands was worth it.

It was unfortunate that our team lost but they put up quite the fight against Tulane. I learned quite a lot about football as a sport, but also about the spirit and pride that comes with supporting your college.

There is something so cathartic about telling your heart out in either glee or rage with the people you share it with. Drinking two large refills of water definitely was my saving grace of the day as well as my beloved Hawaiian Tropic sunscreen.

I will for sure be attending more UL home games in the future, and “HOT TO GO!” played by the Pride of Acadiana was such a joy to dance and jam out to with your friends. Overall the game was a huge hit with me and I can’t wait to go to more.

This was my first UL football game since I enrolled here in 2022, and I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the school spirit. We started off getting there a little late for tailgating but we still had some time to explore and such.

Tailgating isn’t my cup of tea because of the loud music and the large crowd. For the game itself I was only able to enjoy until the second quarter because of the heat wave. I did however still get to see the fireworks, the Pride of Acadiana’s pregame show and the team running in.

I have a few friends that are part of the band so it was fun to pinpoint what red and black bundle they were from the large ensemble. I would totally go to another game now, just not one during peak heat of the day again.

I have always loved going to football games since I was young. My parents are die hard LSU fans and I’ve gone to so many growing up.

Our games feel so much different because of the amount of passion and pride you have for your school. All of the yelling and support for our team was amazing. The Tulane vs. Cajuns game was fun but extremely hot.

There were so many people since it was family weekend and it was really an amazing time other than the heat. We knew it would be a bit warm but we didn’t expect to see people being taken out in gurneys.

One thing I really hated was that a bottle of water was $4 and the lines to get them were so long.

The group of friends I went with really made it worth it. I definitely will be attending more games, but maybe when it cools off.

My experience at the Louisiana vs. Tulane game was so much fun and it was an experience that I will never forget! It was my first time going to a football game with my coworkers, which was pretty cool within itself. I’ve always loved football, so I was doing my normal sideline coaching and cheering.

There was this group of men that sat in front of me that thoroughly enjoyed my commentary and talked with me the entire time. One of them was actually a former employee of the Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns basketball team. Another one of them looked familiar to me, but I couldn’t put my finger on where I knew him from. The oldest man in the group was so hilarious and had me laughing the entire time.

He even said that he believed my yelling was helping the team win. I don’t personally believe that was the case, but when I went to get some shade, I did see that the other team made a touchdown while I was gone. Overall, despite the fact that I almost passed out, I enjoyed supporting our Ragin’ Cajun football team.
