The Beaucoup section writes about their experience going to Poche’s Pumpkin Patch & Maze located on 930 Guilbeau Road, Lafayette Louisiana 70506. The pumpkin patch is affordable and in the Lafayette area, an ideal activity for college aged students.

This was my first time at this pumpkin patch, and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I like how small it was because we were able to explore what the patch had to offer.
It was a beautiful Sunday afternoon and I can see why so many families were out.
My favorite part was the maze because it was easy to find my way out!
I am a short person and it was funny how everything was my height. For once I felt tall and not short.
There were many photo opportunities for guests and some of my favorites were a row of scarecrows, posing with a variety of pumpkins and a giant chair.
Since this was a pumpkin patch there were different types of pumpkins a person could purchase. Such as round, short and mini pumpkins for whatever way you would like to decorate your house for Halloween.
I highly recommend going with the whole family for a nice fall day.

This was my first time ever visiting a pumpkin patch.
I don’t know why I have never gone before, I guess I never had anyone to go with. I enjoyed going with my friends, who are also my coworkers.
One funny thing that happened is I realized I had never held a pumpkin, excluding the ones found in Walmart. It was dumb of me not to put two and two together, but in my defense I had a lot of midterms going on.
Overall though, I liked seeing all the pumpkins and photo set ups that Poches’ had. I was able to get a lot of cute pictures and sent them to my family group chat. There was a cool breeze that day and it felt like it was really fall, despite being in Louisiana.
I think the prices were affordable enough; it did suck that it was a cash only entry. It was a $10 entry, and $5 per pumpkin we wanted to buy.

I had such a wonderful time at the pumpkin patch! The weather was perfect, and it felt amazing just to wander around, taking in all the pumpkins and decorations. There were so many cute setups and photo spots everywhere! They even had free face painting, so I couldn’t resist getting a little candy corn on my cheek.
It was only $10 to get in, and the pumpkins were just $5 each, so I ended up bringing home two big ones and a small one! It was great to see the community out, with families and friends all exploring and enjoying the day. They even had a small maze to walk through, which added to the fun.
I’ve always loved visiting pumpkin patches back in Shreveport where I’m from, so it was special to find one here and get to relive those memories!

Poches Pumpkin Patch was my first ever pumpkin patch experience, and it was nothing short of amazing. A bright, crisp morning with a hint of cool, five friends, a camera and a small field of pumpkins were all that was needed.
As I crossed the dainty bridge into the pumpkin patch, I recall seeing families at the patch, strolling about and excitedly exploring the activities. It was a beautifully decorated field, with plenty of picture-friendly setups.
My friends and I sat at the largest chair ever, ran through a mini maze, cooled down near a barn and tried out some face paint. The best part of all, as one would imagine, was walking through the pumpkin patches.
Hearing the joyful laughter of people around and the many requests to help take pictures, most definitely gave the impression that Poches was a great pumpkin-patch-experience for many.
