On Wednesday, March 12, the Office of University Housing and Residential Life will be hosting an off-campus housing fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Student Union Porch.

Students moving out of campus for the upcoming academic year, 2025-2026, may find this event beneficial, as multiple local communities will be present to provide more information about apartment availability and prices.

The communities who are expected to be at the fair include The Edge at Lafayette, Genesis Apartments, Campion at Lafayette, Theater Street Apartments, The Quarters Apartments and Cottage Landing.

Those attending have the opportunity to meet with property managers of these communities, find housing options that fit with their budget and find potential roommates.

It is important to note that these communities are not connected to the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.

Current student residents are still in contract with University Housing until the Spring 2025 semester ends. Those who already signed a housing contract for on-campus living for the next academic year must get approved for a contract buyout before signing a lease with an off-campus community.

Scholarship students are not eligible for off-campus living.
