There were five new COVID-19 cases among students, faculty and staff at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette during the week of Nov. 20, according to the university’s COVID-19 dashboard on Nov. 22. 

According to the dashboard as of Monday at 4:54 p.m., the university reported that 245 students and 265 faculty and staff members contracted the virus, and 797 students have told the university they’ve tested positive. This means there have been a total of 1,307 cases among students, faculty and staff at UL Lafayette. 

Confirmed positive tests include tests taken by Student Health Services and UL Lafayette Athletics, as well as tests submitted to the university’s human resources department by faculty, staff and student workers. Self-reported tests were taken by off-campus health care providers. Students in this category sent their results to the dean of students themselves, according to the dashboard. 

As of Monday, the dashboard displays total positive tests since Jan. 4, 2020.
